Processing

At Georgian Bay Meat Packers, we begin our meat processing by expertly cutting larger pieces into portions, suitable for various uses. Each piece is carefully inspected and prepared, ensuring it meets our high standards for quality and safety.

Vacuum Sealing

Once our meat has been expertly processed into the appropriate sized cuts—usually between 0.45 lbs and 1 lb, depending on the product—it's ready for vacuum sealing. We place each cut into our recyclable bags, which are then vacuum sealed to lock in freshness.

Packaging

Our meats are individually vacuum-sealed using recyclable plastic to maintain freshness and quality. These vacuum-sealed packages are then carefully placed into 5 lb boxes. For added efficiency and safety during transport, four of these boxes are grouped into a larger box, all made from recyclable materials. This method not only preserves the integrity of our products but also aligns with our environmental responsibilities.

Flash Freezing

After packaging, our meats are placed into an industrial-strength freezer for flash freezing, locking in taste, freshness, and flavour within minutes. This quick-freeze method preserves the meat’s quality and prevents ice crystal formation that can damage tissue integrity.

Our facility operates Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM. We're here to assist you during these hours, so feel free to contact us with any inquiries or to schedule services.
